One thing that is important to note is that talk is not cheap. It is never cheap. Sometimes it may seem to be meaningless, but it always comes with a cost.
Today, I want to share this week’s LTC Coffee Break Espresso Shot with you to illustrate the importance of talking and how it is not just the words that matter. Sure, the subject may seem unimportant to many of you but it is important.
My friend, neighbor, business partner, and colleague Michael Florio shared with the world this past Tuesday that he will be retiring from OneAmerica at the end of the month.
The significance of this is should be a wake-up call to you both personally and as a professional. My ask of you is this – take a few minutes and talk to yourself and answer this question … if you were to hang it up tomorrow (by choice or by some other cause), is everything in good order?
That’s all … I’m not pitching anything. I’m asking you directly – is your ship in shape for a journey into retirement?
Be honest with yourself.
If the answer is no, then take action and then thank Michael Florio for the motivation.
It’s time to talk – talk to yourself.
And, thanks for making time for me.
