I’ve got a challenge for you.
We all know that you can (and do) write business with other carriers. It’s just a fact and I don’t begrudge you for it. In fact, finding the best solution possible for your client is what we are supposed to be doing.
Let me ask this question.
Are you actually shopping for the best product based upon their unique needs and health considerations or are you taking “easy street” and going to a carrier with a “quick and easy” process?
Be honest with yourself … quick & easy or what may be best?
I’ve been around for a while (decades even) and have seen, heard, and sold ease of doing business. It’s what we all want – a carrier that has an easy process that will deliver the desired results consistently. Here’s the catch – that is a “perfect world” scenario.
How many of your clients fit neatly in the box? You know – under 65, healthy, wealthy, motivated to purchase a long-term care policy, etc.
What about those who don’t fit neatly in the box?
Odds are that you look at OneAmerica because of the aggressive underwriting and willingness to offer an Asset Care solution to table 8 or an Annuity Care beyond that. So, here is my challenge to you.
If you’re waiting for your client to be declined by another carrier then submit an application for a OneAmerica product, stop doing that and submit an application with OneAmerica to begin with.
Seriously, you can save yourself and your client weeks and unnecessary work by starting with the only asset-based who is willing to work with you to find a solution for them. Do the PUI, get the guidance from underwriting, then apply for a OneAmerica policy.
